Homebuyer Representation and the Buyer Broker Agreement

Buyer Broker Agreement – A Quick Overview

When purchasing a home, many homebuyers prefer to be represented by a REALTOR® who will look out for their best interest.

In Arizona, as of August of 2024, all REALTORs® are required to have a signed written agreement prior to showing a home to a buyer.Buyer Broker Agreement notice

The written agreement will stipulate many things for the buyer and for their agent. Multiple choices and even multiple forms are available, and no set time frame or rate of compensation is required.

Buyer Broker Agreement – What does it mean for you and me?

We’d love to help you purchase your next home. Once we are able to go over your options, we’ll sign an employment agreement and be able to get started! Our initial meeting can be held at your home, at our office or even online, if necessary. (we’ll make it convenient and painless!)

Please remember, we can not show you a home without a signed Buyer Representation Agreement in place.

The two main forms to consider are the “Buyer Broker Exclusive Employment Agreement” and the “Buyer Broker Agreement To Show Property”  which we use far less often.

The following video discusses the “new” forms that were implemented in August of 2024. Like our industry, these forms can and will change. In fact, several new forms will be changed in February of 2025. But, change is often good! Just be careful to hire someone who is ALWAYS willing to look out for YOUR best interest.

I believe that representation matters, and we are happy to discuss your options and your situation with you to see how we can best help.

Any member of The Nick Bastian Team would love to represent you in the purchase of your next home. Please call 602-803-6425 to discuss your options.
