Tons To Do In The ‘281
Now, let’s talk about some of the many things to do in Tempe’s 85281 zip code. Things like hiking, biking, boating, golfing, shopping, dining and entertaining. Whew. Yeah, that’s a lot.
Did you know that 85281 is home to Tempe’s Rolling Hills Golf Course? And did you know that, just east of Rolling Hills, you’ll find a bunch of cool hiking and biking trails up near the Arizona Historical Society Museum?
Yeah, when most people think of 85281, they think of the Mill Avenue District and they think ASU. Nothing wrong with thinking about these big attractions, for sure. But the other huge draws to the area include Tempe Town Lake and Tempe Beach Park where you can take the kids to explore the area or let them play on the playground. You like to be on the water? Rent a boat or kayak and go for a spin. A nice sunset walk or bike ride around the lake is pretty cool, too.
Other attractions in 85281 include the Tempe Marketplace, the beautiful Tempe Center for the Arts and so much more. Being one of the most urban zip codes in the entire state, the area benefits from several miles of the Phoenix light rail line running from one end of 85281 to the other. It’s a real benefit to the area.
Jobs!
Yes, any thriving area should have a good job base. Within this zip code you’ll not only find a ton of restaurants and shops, but there is a high concentration of tech jobs and 2 large commercial / industrial areas where many large and small employers exist. Of course, the “state’s largest office development deal” is home to 2 million more feet of space via Marina Heights along Tempe Town Lake.
Marina Heights will seem small once the massive Novus Innovation Corridor is built out! The job growth in the area has been amazing and will continue to grow.
