The Kyrene Corridor is generally considered to be the area between Baseline Road on the north, the 202 freeway to the south, the 101 freeway on the east side and I-10 on the west. A small portion also stretches further west into parts of Ahwatukee.

Our own local Wrangler News came up with this term in 2001 when they began distributing their newspapers to the residents of this area. At the core of the name seems to be the correlation between our community and the Kyrene School District.
