Nick and Colleen,
Just a quick note to let you know I’m back in Richmond, and to thank you for all your hard work through the process.
The transit from Phoenix to Richmond was speedy if uneventful, besting my prior record by a half-day – not bad for an underpowered U-Haul with the aerodynamics of a brick… I resisted the impulse to take selfies in ‘Toad Suck, Arkansas’ and the ‘Big Skin Bayou’ in Tennessee (sadly, I’m not making these up…). I arrived in town on Wednesday evening, unpacking the vehicle yesterday.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank you both for your exceptional counsel throughout the sale’s process. As you know, while Pat and I have acquired two homes over the years, this was our first crack at actually selling one. Your guidance and support was invaluable. Knowing that you had us covered on the sales-front allowed us to focus on the logistics of moving our household goods cross-country – no small thing in itself. Too, your facilitation of the donations to Goodwill (or as I liked to call it, “Moving Mount Charity”…) was a peerless success – a win for the community (and my lower back).
In your last voicemail, Nick, you mentioned our “reasonableness”. I would say the same of you, adding “expertise”, “initiative”, and “collaboration”. Quite simply, you could not have made this experience any more pleasant or successful (two terms I wouldn’t necessarily have expected to use when describing a home-sale on the front-end of this process…). Please share our thanks with your entire team for a job well done.
Did I mention how happy I am that I moved last weekend, versus this Saturday and 117 degrees?!
Thanks again, and have a great summer.
Sean and Patricia
